Hillcrest Consultants, Inc. was founded in May of 1975 by Vincent A. Messina. Originally formed as the marketing and advertising firm for the Hillcrest-Nims Catering business and the Hillcrest Luxurious Function Facility. Hillcrest Consultants, Inc. eventually became the parent entity of the food service business, but during this period Vincent Messina began to expand into real estate development and management. In 1998, the physical food service division was closed permanently and the company shifted its focus to real estate development, property management, brokerage and consulting services.
Hillcrest is now owned and operated by Daniel V. Messina. Mr. Messina has over 25 years of experience in in real estate and business management. He is a licensed real estate broker in MA and NH, a licensed Construction Supervisor and has earned recognition as a Certified Property Manager®, Certified Commercial Investment Member, Certified Occupancy Specialist, Certified Financial Manager and Certified International Property Specialist. Mr. Messina has extensive experience in business management, food service operations, planning and consulting. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University and also holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Finance and Account.
Hillcrest Properties
Hillcrest Properties is a d.b.a. of Hillcrest Consultants, Inc. and is the operating name for our real estate firm that provides brokerage and property management services. Hillcrest Properties currently manages a portfolio of multi-tenant commercial office properties in the Metro-West and North Shore suburbs of Boston Massachusetts. The properties consist of office, flex, medical and dental office space. We have experience managing privately owned multi-family housing as well as Federally and State subsidized multi-family developments. Through our affiliated entities, we have developed numerous properties throughout the area, many of which are still in our portfolio today. At Hillcrest Properties, or Mission is to add value to the properties we manage by establishing long-term relationships with our clients, tenants and property owners. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and maintaining the properties we manage in a professional manner.
Dan-Kar Properties
Dan-Kar Properties was formed by Vincent A. Messina as a separate entity to develop and manage commercial real estate. Under the Dan-Kar umbrella, several commercial real estate developments were completed which are now managed by Hillcrest Properties. Dan-Kar Properties is presently a d.b.a of Hillcrest Consultants, Inc. and continues to be used as the development arm of Hillcrest Consultants, Inc. To read more please click here.
Hillcrest-Nims Catering
Hillcrest-Nims was the food service division of Hillcrest Consultants, Inc. Originally purchased in 1968 by Vincent Messina, Nims Catering was transformed into the Hillcrest-Nims catering business; it quickly expanded and grew to include a large off premise catering business and in the future would require a substantially larger in-house facility then its location on Fox Road in Waltham, MA. In 1973, Vincent Messina oversaw the design and construction of the Hillcrest Luxurious Function Facility located at 220 Bear Hill Road in Waltham, MA.
